My name is Alex Salome and I'd like to share my fitness journey & the birth of Cut Club.

Over the last 5+ years, I’ve poured everything into building the physique I once thought was out of reach.

my story

But before we get into that...

My story starts in Phoenix, Arizona where I was born and raised.

At 14, I was lost. Just stepping into high school and already drowning.


No direction. No discipline. No clue how to deal with the chaos life was throwing at me.


I turned to the wrong people, the wrong habits, the wrong escapes.


Anxiety, self-doubt, the pressure to fit in. It ate at me daily.


And for a while… I let it win.

Then one day, my brother brought me to the gym.


I remember walking in thinking:
"What if they judge me?"
"What if I look weak?"
"What if I don’t belong here?"

New beginnings

Turning point

But that first session changed everything.


For the first time in my life, effort meant something.


It wasn’t like school where I felt boxed in… or life at home where nothing I did seemed to matter.


In the gym, every rep was a decision.


Every drop of sweat was progress.


And slowly, the chaos in my mind started to quiet down.

I started hitting small goals... just showing up, getting through a full workout, adding a few pounds to the bar.


But those “small wins” built something massive: belief.
Belief that I wasn’t stuck with the version of myself I hated.


Belief that maybe... just maybe... I could take control.

My body started changing… but more importantly, so did my mindset.


I carried myself differently. I wasn’t shrinking back in conversations.

 

I wasn’t chasing validation from the wrong people.


I started becoming someone I could actually respect.

And that empty feeling I used to wake up with? It started to fade.


Because now I had purpose. Now I had direction.

Three months in, and I was addicted to the process.


The grind. The discipline. The delayed gratification.
To becoming the version of myself I didn’t think was possible.

And I haven’t stopped since.
